Serves: 12
Serving Size: 1 square, 3 x 3 inches
Ingredients
- 2 lb. ground beef
- 2 lb. ground pork
- 1 (28oz.) can whole tomatoes, liquid reserved
- 1 (12-oz.) can tomatoe paste
- 2 tsp. minced garlic
- 1 1/2 tsp. dried oregano

Stir in tomato paste, garlic, oregano, and basil. Heat to boiling, lower the heat, and simmer 20 minutes. Set aside 1 cup sauce and 1/2 cup mozzarella. In a 13 X 9-inch ungreased pan, alternate layers of noodles, meat sauce, and cheese mixture. Spread reserved sauce and cheese mixture on top layer and sprinkle with parmesan.
