Wheelin' Jazz go to Final Four

Wheelin’ Jazz to compete in Championship Division Final Four Wheelchair Basketball Game on March 20th at 1:00 pm.

The Wheelin' Jazz is Utah's elite wheelchair basketball team with a record of 15-3. They are currently ranked 5th in the National Wheelchair Basketball Association (NWBA), and recently won the Best in the West Tournament for the second consecutive year. In addition, the Wheelin’ Jazz came away with a big win from the recent West Regional Tournament where they defeated the Golden State Road Warriors 54-48 in the championship game.  This victory has qualified the Wheeln’ Jazz for the upcoming Final Four against the Arkansas Rollin Razorbacks, which will be held in Denver, CO on March 20th at 1:00 p.m.

Sponsored in part by University Health Care Rehabilitation Center, the Wheelin’ Jazz also encourages involvement within the community.  Every Tuesday and Thursday the public is invited to observe open practices as the team hones its skills on the court in preparation for upcoming games. On Thursdays practices take place at SLCC, 4600 S and Redwood Rd. at 7:00 pm.  And on Tuesdays they are held at West Ridge Academy, 5500 W Bagley Park Rd, West Jordan, also at 7:00 pm.

In addition, the Wheelin’ Jazz is hosting a Celebrity Wheelchair Basketball Game on Wednesday, April 1 at Jordan High School.  This event is guaranteed to be a good time, so come join us in the fun as local celebrities demonstrate their skills on the court.
