Parkway Health Center

Thomas Hyatt, D.O.

Dr. HyattProfessional Interests: Dr. Hyatt's favorite medical challenges are taking care of minor trauma, pediatrics, and dermatology. His greatest fun is "occasionally" knowing exactly what is wrong and exactly what should be done for a patient, which he is always looking for more of.

Personal Interests: He is married to Danielle Butler, and they have 5 children and 6 grandchildren (so far). His other interests include camping, science fiction, popular economics, and piano music.

Education: Dr. Thomas A. Hyatt is a board-certified family doctor, practicing at the Parkway Health Center for the last 13 years. He attended BYU for pre-med, then went to medical school at North Texas State University Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth. Dr. Hyatt did post-graduate studies in Family Medicine in the Navy, at Camp Pendleton, California. He worked in the Marine Corps for 7 years, and served for 2 years as a Battalion Surgeon for an infantry battalion, serving in California and Japan. After the Navy, Dr. Hyatt and his family moved to Oregon for a short time, but have lived in Utah ever since. He enjoys all aspects of Family Medicine, though he reluctantly gave up delivering babies several years ago. He says: "Though [OB] is really fun and fulfilling, I'm getting too old to get up in the middle of the night so much any more. I'll leave that to younger doctors."
