Dr. John T. Smith
I am an Professor, who focuses on the treatment at the Department of Orthopaedics, practicing at Primary Children’s Medical Center and the University of Utah. My current practice is focused on the treatment of spine deformities in children and pediatric orthopaedics. I have extensive experience in the treatment of spinal deformities in children and adolescents. I received my M.D. at the University of Florida in Gainesville, completed my residency at the University of Utah and did a fellowship in pediatric Orthopaedics and spinal deformities at Scottish Rite Hospital in Atlanta. I am the Director of the Pediatric Scoliosis Clinic, and the principal orthopedist in the PCMC Spina Bifida clinic. My research interests focus on pediatric spine disorders, fractures, and cost-effective care.
