Dr. Charles L. Saltzman

I am a Professor and Chairman of the Department of Orthopaedics. I specialize in surgery of the foot and ankle. I received my undergraduate degree at Brown University, and medical degree from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. I completed my orthopaedic residency at the University of Michigan and a Foot and Ankle Fellowship under the guidance of Dr. Kenneth A. Johnson at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona. I have authored over 140 peer reviewed publications, 30 book chapters, and co-edited three major textbooks, Including Surgery of the Foot and Ankle. I have been the recipient of two major OREF grants and Two major NIH grants. I am currently serving  as the  President Elect of the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society , the Treasurer of the Association of Bone and Joint Surgery and on the Board of Trustees of Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research. I joined the University of Utah faculty as Chairman in 2005, after achieving the rank of Professor in the Departments of Orthopaedics. Bioengineering and Physical Therapy at the University of Iowa.
