We have specific expertise in the management of spine and spinal cord disorders, and also treat spine fractures and spinal cord injuries.
The Neurosurgery faculty of the Clinical Neurosciences Center offers a wide range of treatments, which includes both non-surgical and surgical options. In our outpatient Spine Clinic, we also offer chiropractic services to support a holistic approach to care.
In addition to traditional open and complex spinal fusion procedures, our spine neurosurgeons offer several specialized procedures not widely available in the region, including:
• Minimally invasive spine surgery
• Microscopic spine surgery

• Motion preservation surgery
• Lumbar disc replacement/ arthroplasty
• Dynamic stabilization
Our neurosurgeons practice within the new Clinical Neurosciences Center at the University of Utah, and are faculty within the Department of Neurosurgery. Not only do they provide cutting-edge clinical care, but they also participate in clinical trials and several have developed new techniques and devices for the care of patients with spinal diseases and spinal disorders.
