Parent-to-Parent Program Assistant

Purpose

To offer emotional and educational support to families experiencing high-risk pregnancies or babies born critically ill

Parent-to-Parent Coordinator

Must be 18 or older

Duties/Responsibilities

Contact new parents who have a desire for phone contact with graduate parents
Listen to the parent experiences without criticism or judgment
Be neutral and reassuring
Refrain from giving personal advice and/or injecting own religious beliefs into the conversation
Discuss hospital procedures with members of the family
Respect the confidentiality of the family
