Interpreter Services

Purpose

To facilitate communication between medical staff, patients, and family members

Reports To

Jennifer Villalpando

Days/Hours

• Varying shifts as assigned

• Monday - Friday

Training

Interpreters are required to take a basic forty hour interpreter course in medical terminology.

Volunteer Duties/Responsibilities

• Take accurate notes when doing a phone or a clinical interpretation

• Interpret colloquial phrases and technical medical terminology

• Understand and follow interpreter code of ethics
