University Hospital Customer Service has relationships with numerous hotels in the area. We have toured the facilities and met the staff to ensure that the needs of our patients and visitors are met. We recommend these facilities due to their high quality of hospitality , and know that guests will have a pleasant and comfortable stay.
Given the close proximity to downtown Salt Lake City, there are a variety of lodging options available for patients, friends, and family members visiting University Hospital from out of the area. The Customer Service Department provides a recommended list of hotels and other lodging* as a resource for visitors.
Denise Whitney is the hospital’s accommodations concierge , located at the University Hospital’s front lobby Information Desk. You can contact her to discuss lodging options, assist with reservations, and to answer any other questions or concerns you may have. The University Guest House Hotel
University Hospital and the University Guest House have teamed up to make it easier for visitors to book a hotel room. Located on campus within walking distance of the hospital, the Guest House offers complementary hot breakfast featuring Starbucks coffee, free wireless internet, free parking, satellite TV, state of the art fitness center, refrigerator, microwave, coin operated laundry, and scenic views of the beautiful Salt Lake Valley. The University Guest House recently added 50 new sleeping rooms, totaling 180 guest hotel rooms. The Guest House has kitchenette rooms and ADA accessible rooms, with ADA equipment available.
When you book your room at the hospital’s Information Desk, you can check in, have your room keys made, and transfer your luggage all without leaving the hospital. You can also get a free 24/7 shuttle service between the Hospital and Guest House. The University Hospital RV Lot
RV Lots are located within walking distance of hospital, overlooking the beautiful Salt Lake Valley. Availability is based on open stalls on the day of arrival, no reservations accepted. Lot fees are paid up-front, with no limit on the length of stay. Available only to University of Utah Hospital and Huntsman Cancer Institute. Full service hookups including sewer, water, and electricity. Due to limited space, only 1 RV and 1 vehicle per patient allowed. Free shuttle service to the hospital is available 24/7.

Marriott University Park Hotel
Located just 2.0 miles from University of Utah Medical Center, the Marriott University Park provides a very convenient location for patients and their families. We offer a comfortable, full service facility that provides an onsite restaurant, lounge, and room service. ADA rooms are based upon availability. We also offer an indoor pool, fitness center, free parking, and cable TV. Complimentary internet in public areas including ‘Connections Lounge.’ A free shuttle, by request, to nearby hospitals and restaurants is available. We are happy to be of service during your medical visits.
