Peripheral Arterial Disease Symptoms

At the early stages of PAD, you may have no symptoms. The symptoms vary with the location and severity of the arterial narrowing.

  • Pain in the legs, thighs and hips
  • Numbness, tingling, or weakness in the legs
  • Burning or aching pain in the feet or toes while resting
  • Slow healing of wounds on the leg or a foot - (These sores may become dead tissue called gangrene.  If PAD gets this bad without being effectively treated, an amputation may be necessary.)
